Freshwater Circle Walk

Follow in the footsteps of famous, historic island photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron on a 2-hour guided walk around the coastal town that inspired her, Freshwater Bay.

Julia Margaret Cameron photographed the great and the good of Victorian society. On this walk we will find out about the famous residents of Freshwater Bay and beyond, many of whom were immortalised by Mrs Cameron.

Passing through Tennyson’s Farringford estate, the walk then ascends to the iconic Tennyson Down with breath-taking views out over our amazing Isle of Wight Biosphere.

Refreshments and entrance to the museum are included in the ticket.

Booking required

This will be a walk departing from Dimbola Museum and Galleries. It will be mostly on off-road paths with uneven surfaces. Steep hills and inclines throughout (although the walk does not go to the top of the down). Expect steps and/or styles.  A good level of fitness is require
