Wihtwara Rainbow will lead you through a traditional ceremony to honour our ancestors the Wihtwara.
Our “Diamond Isle" is a sacred island. Jan Harper Whale, an island resident since 1976, earned her native name ‘Eagle Singing Moon’ after living with and being accepted by the Sisseton Dakota Sioux in Native America. She was mentored by Chuck Derby Running Elk, guardian of the Pipestone Quarries and a Dakota leader, who visited the island many times and recognized the sacredness of the Island - renaming her as Little Turtle Island.
Jan is A Pipe Carrier. She is offering ancient wisdom of the Channupa and giving a rare, guided opportunity to meditate in Canyon de Chelly and find your place in the Medicine wheel.
