Hear from Jan Harper Whale on her dedicated research into the Wihtwara people, using DNA archaeology. Uncover what she has found out about their lives, here on the Diamond Isle. The Wihtwara were a peaceful, spiritual race of pagan people, who migrated here from Denmark in the late Neolithic times. They worshipped Nerthus, the Earthmother and were guardians of our island.
Jan has researched deeply using DNA archaeological profiling to uncover their lives here on the island and of the Meonwara and Cantwara in Kent. It has taken over seven years of research. She has uncovered evidence that they were killed for their beliefs, with the major battle taking place in the valley below the Longstone.
