Join us for a community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by discussion on what this means for everyday life in the UK now and in the future. The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK. It brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence on how the cost of living, food security, extreme weather and health affects us all.
After the 45-minute film, there's time to share how you feel and join a conversation about what we can do locally on the Isle of Wight.
Many of those attending these events commented that although the facts are alarming, they felt a sense of optimism about confronting the challenge together and seeing a pathway to a better future.
