Wihtwara Rainbow and Jan Harper Whale are inviting you to Grammars Wood, to take part in an ancient wisdom circle.
Jan Harper Whale, who has been resident on the island since 1976, travelled to Native America, lived with and was accepted by the Sisseton Dakota Sioux. Chuck Derby Running Elk, guardian of the Pipestone Quarries and a Dakota leader was a mentor and friend to Jan, giving her the Native name, Eagle Singing Moon (Wambdi Olywampa Weya) and visiting the island several time, renaming her as Little Turtle Island.
Jan is A Pipe Carrier. She is offering ancient wisdom of the Channupa and giving a rare, guided opportunity to meditate in Canyon de Chelly on finding your place in the Medicine wheel.
