Come and join a welcome picnic at ‘The Haven’, the new charity managing the old ‘Bucks School Camp Field’ (or Scout Field) on the edge of Nettlestone. Live music, children’s activities, and a warm welcome to this exciting new community project awaits. This 6.5 acre field with facilities has welcomed thousands of children in the last 90 years, and with your help, it will again!
The Haven is the new charity responsible for looking after the former 'Bucks School Camp Association' field, on the edge of Nettlestone. This 6.5 acre field has had Buckinghamshire school children, and some Island children, camping there since the 1930's. Previously the field's charitable purposes were purely for the benefit of Bucks children, now it can benefit local children and young people, and our wider community.
Come and see for yourself this amazing site which is bursting with potential, and meet the people volunteering to bring young people and life back to the field. It has had no use since before the pandemic, so come and contribute to our plans to make it a place for young people to thrive again. The High Sheriff will be with us to officially reopen the field for the community.
Please bring a picnic. We will have live music and children's activities.
