Join Wight Nature Fund for a celebration of the Island’s UNESCO Biosphere.
This year our focus will be on the wonderful island trees. We will have an exhibition of tree photos by one of our Trustees Terence Hart. There will be a scavenger hunt around Mill Copse for children too- please meet at 11am and we can walk up together.
At 1.30pm we will be running a tour of Mill Copse, showcasing its history and the coppicing work that we have recently been doing in Partnership with the Isle of Wight College.
For both the scavenger hunt and walk, please meet at Community Hall of Yarmouth and District (CHOYD), suitable footwear is advised, there are uneven, offroad footpaths to get to Mill Copse which is around a 10 minute walk away.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
How to get here: CHOYD is easily accessible by car, ferry and bus (number 7).
Accessibility: The walk to Mill Copse covers some uneven ground, and is a 10 minute walk from CHOYD - sensible footwear is advised.
