Stories, Food & Craft at Riboleau Studio and Gardens
Join us at the Biosphere Festival for a relaxed, family-friendly celebration of food, nature, and local history.
Discover the journey your food takes in our interactive activity, “Local or Imported?”, where you’ll explore where your fruit and vegetables come from and how far they’ve travelled to reach your plate. It’s a hands-on way to think about sustainability, seasonality, and supporting local growers.
Get creative in our knitting workshop, where you can craft your own colourful vegetables—perfect for all ages and skill levels. It’s a fun, mindful activity that connects craft with conversations about food and the environment.
Step back in time as we share the story of the area’s past, once a thriving plantation landscape. Learn about Benjamin Barrow, a remarkable figure who served nine times as Mayor of Ryde and worked in harmony with nature to develop innovative water filtration through the chalk hills—an early example of sustainable thinking.
Bring along a picnic, settle into the surroundings, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere with live acoustic guitar music providing the perfect soundtrack to your day.
A chance to learn, make, listen, and unwind—come and be part of it.
