Join us for a BioBlitz at Calbourne Water Mill, where people of all ages can explore, discover, and celebrate local wildlife.
Drop in between 10am – 4pm to enjoy guided nature walks, hands-on activities, species’ surveys and informal wildlife spotting in a beautiful, historic setting.
An evening session will also take place on the 3rd of July, offering a chance to experience wildlife after dark.
No experience necessary – just bring your curiosity! Free to attend, with parking, a café available on site and a bus stop located just outside the site for easy access.
Booking: Free - no booking required. Free to attend, but there will be summer fair stalls and a café which people may like to use.
Age range: No age restrictions, all welcome.
A similar event aimed at young people will take place on the 5th of July.

By car: Free parking is available on site at Calbourne Water Mill.
By bus: The Southern Vectis Summer Links bus stops directly outside Calbourne Water Mill. Alternatively, Route 7 (Newport–Yarmouth) stops nearby, with a short walk along the road to the site.
By bike: The site can be reached via quiet rural roads, making it a pleasant option for cyclists.
On foot: Calbourne Water Mill is accessible via local footpaths and surrounding countryside routes for those travelling on foot.
